What's compelling and irresistible about conversations of the past and psychological issues is that there can never be a resolution. Stories can be told and retold, explored from every facet. Past trauma can be revisited again and again, renewing the trauma under the guise of understanding. Such a conversation carries on because the teeth sink in to a story, a fantasy, with the hope of learning something from what does not exist.
We care so much about trying to understand the imaginary, while the ongoing moment in front of our noses receives little attention. Right now is already impossible to fathom; why dwell on past illusions?
It has to come to a stop.
